Who We Are

Standing with the riders who keep Tanzania moving.

BOSASELI — Bodaboda Safety and Secured Lives — is a Tanzanian non-governmental organization dedicated to the safety, dignity, and well-being of boda-boda riders and the passengers who depend on them.

Our Story

Born from a simple belief

Every day, thousands of boda-boda riders take to Tanzania's roads to earn a living and move their communities. They are essential workers — yet too often the most exposed to danger and the least supported.

BOSASELI was founded to change that. We believe no rider should have to pay for their work with their life. From our base in Sanawari, Arusha, we bring riders together for education, mentoring, advocacy, and care — building a culture where safety is shared and lives are protected.

What began as a local commitment to road safety has grown into a community of riders working toward safer roads, stronger livelihoods, and a future where every journey ends at home. edit with your real history

Our Vision

A Tanzania with significantly reduced road accidents and fatalities — where all road users, especially boda-boda operators, embrace safe practices, contributing to thriving communities and a robust economy.

Our Mission

To foster a culture of safety and responsibility among boda-boda operators through comprehensive education, advocacy, and support — reducing road accidents, enhancing economic stability, and promoting sustainable livelihoods across Tanzania.

What Guides Us

Our values

Safety first

Every decision we make starts with protecting riders and passengers. Safety is not a slogan — it is the work.

Community

We are built by riders, for riders. Lasting change comes from the community, not handed down to it.

Dignity

Riders are essential workers who deserve respect, representation, and a real say in the decisions that affect them.
